  Ranajit Sengupta (Sarode, Vocals, Mandoline & Percussions)

From his adolescence, Ranajit, a child prodigy initially with mandoline but later after rigourous training and practising in sarod under his teachers Late Ustad Dhyanesh Khan and Ustad Ashish Khan of Maihar Gharana, established himself as one of the best musician of his generation.
Ranajit is the youngest Indian to give lecture in a university abroad.
He is an M. A. in Music from Rabindra Bharati University of Kolkata (He stood first) and an "A" Grade artiste of All India Radio. He is enlisted as lecturer in Indian Universities by the Government of India. He also participated in many workshops conducted by the living legend Ustad Ali Akbar Khan.

  Daniel Luedke (Guitars)

Sudium der Gitarre an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Hamburg. Durch die Begegnung mit indischer Musik erfuhr er neue musikalische Einflüsse, die zur Perfektionierung seiner ausgefeilten Gitarrenspieltechnik beitrugen.
Er produzierte eigene Kompositionen auf CDs in Indien und Irland. Die CD’s zur indischen Jazz Musik „Kyabaat“ hat er gemeinsam mit dem Sarod-Spieler Ranajit Sengupta unter Mitwirkung einiger Geiger von James Last, arrangiert von Prof. Wolf Kerschek, aufgenommen.
2005 war er ehrenamtlich für das UNO Jugend Orchester tätig und mixte das Musikstück „Peanut Vendor“ in seinem Studio, das anlässlich des 60 jährigen Jubiläums der UNO produziert wurde.

Martin Drees (Bass)

Martin Drees, born in Germany , is a talented allround electric bassplayer.
He studied at Hilversum`s Conservatorium in the Netherlands. He used to play with great musicians like “RAD”, “PeeWee Ellis”, “Fred Weasley”, “Bobby Bird”, “Pryde”, and was a member of the great Band “Soulsociety”. He also was working with turkish Artists(Fuat Saka,..) and Kurdish Singers (Nilüfer Akbal, Ciwan Haco).
His rythmic sense as well as musical variety earned him fame at a quiet young age.
As a member of Kyabaat, he influences the music of Ranajit Sengupta and Daniel Lüdke by giving a deep fundament of basstones and by bringing in some compositions or musical ideas.

 
 


 
 

Prabir Mitra (Tabla)

Prabir Mitra was born into a Musical Family in Kolkata,India.Learned Tabla from a very tender age from Pandit Kanai Dutta,followed by advance training by Prof.Sanjay Mukherjee.
He has performed in major Music Festivals & Venues throughout the World accompanying great Maestros.He has been a close associate with Kyabaat from 1997 & Have been a member of the Band in Recordings & performences.
